Guest Artist at Saturday Storytime: Marketa Loman Vogelova

We had a wondeful time at Saturday Storytime on April 9th. Local artist Marketa Loman Vogelova, painter and illustrator and all-around lovely person, volunteered her time to do an art project with the children. We read a book about sleeping and dreams, and the kids each designed a bed for their favorite animal and painted their animal’s dreams. Everyone had a great time and the kids made some amazing art. Thank you so much Marketa for coming up with this wonderful project! We all know how beneficial reading is for young children, and to combine it with a creative art project makes it even better.
