Irving Cool Resigns

Irving Cool resigns as Merida English Library Administrator

Irving Cool, whom most MEL members know, has traded in his role as administrator for a new career in property management.

According to MEL Board President Dan Karnes, “Irving was our administrator for the past two years, and for many years before that, he served as a front desk volunteer.

“Those of us who have worked closely with Irving will miss his energy, his dry wit and his willingness to pitch in and do whatever needed to be done. We all wish him great success in his new job.

“Lorna Gail Dallin, who was the library’s administrator from 2000 to 2006, has agreed to serve as part-time interim administrator. We appreciate immensely her dedication to MEL and her willingness to help.”

Irving noted that he sends his thanks to all the volunteers and library members he has met over the years. “This isn’t a complete goodbye, of course,” he added. “I’ll be around. As I have said countless times, MEL holds a very special spot in my heart.”
