Become a Volunteer and Join the MEL Family!
MEL exists and functions because of volunteers!
Here are some pretty impressive numbers from 2015 to prove the point. This is how many volunteers participated in these MEL programs during that time:

- Front Desk: 20
- House and Garden Tour: 45
- Artist Studio Tour: 40
- Wine Tastings: 15
- Musical in the Garden: 10
- Saturday Lectures: 10
- Saturday Storytime: 4
- Wednesday for Writers: 4
- Theater in the Garden: 6
WOW! That’s a grand total of 154 volunteers! Of course, some of our volunteers work at more than one event, but these numbers make it clear that MEL is a volunteer library.
